This September, 23-30.09 two English teachers Kozoriz Iryna and Lesyshyn Nataliia and ten students of 11-A and 11-B forms took part in the Youth Exchange Project "Road to Tolerance" supported by Erasmus+ and organized by STOWARZYSZENIE "POROZUMIENIE POKOLEŃ".

Thirty young people from Poland, Turkey and Ukraine collaborated, worked in teams, accomplished the tasks and carried out the work program. The participants were supported by the experienced leader-teachers. They had a mix of workshops, debates, role-plays, simulations and great deal of outdoor activities. These challenging tasks were aimed to improve the key competences, skills and employability of young people, promote their active participation in the public life, realization of the society evils, generate their social inclusion and well-being, and foster improvements in youth work and youth policy at local, national and international level.

An additional benefit of this project was the presentation of the other cultures. It was extremely interesting to learn some new foreign words, to taste delicious Polish dishes in the remote forest hut or to dance Polish or Turkish folk dances. We have discussed various significant topics and exchanged our opinions.

The main aim of this project "Road to Tolerance" was to understand the problems of the present-day society, particularly the problem of being a refugee, to change negative attitudes towards them, to gain new cooperative skills and  expand knowledge and  not to be afraid to react and fight negative phenomena.

All things considered, we just want to thank Erasmus+ and STOWARZYSZENIE "POROZUMIENIE POKOLEŃ" for really fruitful cooperation and such anincredible experience.
